Recently diagnosed with pbc my diet is generally good. Don't eat much bread I have read white bread is a no what about wholegrain and seeded breads. I am more aware of my sugar intake any suggestion re food would be good.

I think lots of people tweak there diet to do what they consider is the best for them, we are all different, however I’am sure others will come in and make some useful suggestions.

I personally only follow a healthy eating plan as advised by the dietitian I see. I don’t eat any processed foods and eat as fresh as possible. I don’t have wheat and dairy unless lactose free) but that’s due to intolerance nothing to do with pbc. I think a good all round healthy diet to keep your self as fit as you can is the optimium aim of most of us.

I do have sugar issues which is not good, but I’ve recently made good progress keeping this to the recommended level for added/free sugar I don’t think I could ever cut it out completely love my puds. One thing I’ve learned is it’s added everywhere especially in those processed foods.
