Hi cherry

All the info on life expectancy for pbc is outdated so don't do that.

I can relate... I was on pins a needles waiting for mine results but even then my hepatolagist had a different answer for me. So don't go freaking out even then until you have a good conversation with your doctor.

Best wishes,

Pam

I had what appeared to be multiple and serious conditions so had to have several biopsies. The waiting was difficult especially when you are not sure exactly how long it will take.

Thankfully it turned out to be "only" PBC and maybe another automimmune condition. Might seem strange but I am relieved as life expectancy is good.

How was it picked up and how are you feeling in general? I took comfort from knowing I felt reasonable, lots of fatigue but generally ok.

I have just started Urso and know that now I will be monitored so will try to not worry and get on with life.

I wish you well.

Hi

Understandable to be stressed out when waiting for any results. Hopefully the waiting won't be much longer and you will get good support and info from the doctor.

Even if you have an autoimmune overlap it can be managed.. there are many on the forum who do just that. Not saying that it's always "fun" but we can lean on each other and learn from each other. We keep on keeping on.

Let us know how you are doing. We care

I have three auto-immune conditions - PBC, Hashimoto's thyroid with anti-bodies, and Chronic Candida (which I believe is the result of auto-immune disorder). I'd rather not have it, but, it is what it is. I'm not focusing on it. Live your life like before, it's the best advice I can give. With a few exceptions: eat right, exercise, stay positive and busy!

Good luck!
