Thank you for posting SunnyXXOO I went to this article full of hope only to find it was published in 2014. I am guessing that if this research had been taken further the PBC Foundation and leading bodies in the USA would have taken it up. I think but am not 100% sure that I read quite some time ago that a professor had been looking into a bacterial connection to PBC some 20 odds years ago but that did not progress either. Perhaps if the PBC Foundation has some more accurate information on this publication they could chip in on this thread.

Interesting... I had not heard of this before.

I couldn’t open the article, but a little searching I found one that is dated 2009. Although interesting, I think this theory has been around a while, but reasearch does take time. Who knows one day they may be able to find the cause. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
