It’s normal to have twingey liver pain right? Been having it all week. Pbc stage “1”. My doctor appointment is Thursday and I’m nervous about it, been feeling generally good though, maybe it’s nerves. Or the generous bit of butter I put on my biscuit earlier today. Or from lifting my bag into the overhead compartment...... Thanks for your thoughts!

That twingey feeling on the right side
I think we all get the twinge some days. Mine isn’t too often and I can’t figure out if it’s stress or something that ticks the liver off🤗
I have never had the liver pain
Be glad. It’s kinda worrisome when it happens😊my dr said not necessarily the liver.
Hi gwillistexas, I had my pain since 1983 also my doctor said it’s not related to my liver condition. The pain was awful in September before last and at the emergency rooms after running a few tests was diagnosed as pancreatitis and still my doctor said who said so! May be should believe it’s nothing to worry about! Especially if it’s not that strong.
Hello! Mine has never been a bad pain. So you’ve had PBC all these years? May I ask your stage?
Actually never been told it’s PBC but my diagnosis was autoimmune hepatitis! From this support group it looks like I have the same symptoms as PBC!
Also taking Urso but last two years it caused me itching all over so I stoped but my blood tests after stoping are no good my liver enzymes shooting the roof. By the I’m not a drinker and never was but before my diagnosis that’s what the doctor thought.
Were you sure it wasn't pbc causing the itching not the Urso? Itching is a very common symptom.
Today I’m very sure as since I have stopped taking the Ursofalk last January this itch has gone. May be a little not as much nor as horrible any way I have been on it for very long time and I believe my body has developed antibodies against it. Thanks everyone for replying and I happen that all get the care and treatment that suits their need.
I get twinges in right hand side where liver is fairly frequently. Sometimes I have a dull ache as well. I don’t know what triggers it but have been diagnosed with pbc for 3 years. This seems to be quite common in some pbc sufferers.
Mine comes & goes & I can't work out a trigger. It's not good at the moment but next week I won't feel it. I've begun to expect it as normal for me. X
I get it frequently seems to last a while then goes away can’t seem to find the trigger either, but it seems worse towards the end of the day at the moment.
Thanks everybody! As always it’s good to know I’m not alone in this. 🤗
