Autoimmune lung issues?

I have been undergoing treatment for pneumonia this past weekend . A cat scan was taken and radiologist was undecided about a “mass” in my lower right lobe. All I was told was that a 3 cm. Size mass of unknown nature needs to be checked out by pulmonologist. I can’t get in until Friday. What wisdom do you all have for me. Thanks in advance. Prayers appreciated.

Prayers coming your way. Have you been tested for schleroderma by chance? There are different types & if I read correctly, one form can attack the lungs. 🙏🏻

My ANA cascade test, indicated I might have it. Haven’t seen rheumatologist yet. It can also affect the skin. I think that may be my case because I bumped my hand pretty hard on the corner of my husbands roll top desk. It laid the skin back. It healed but it’s like the skin that healed is hard. Prayers for you. So sorry but hang in there. My sister had breathing issues and finally a bad case of pneumonia. She was diagnosed with Sjogern's syndrome. Autoimmune disorder first targets the glands that make tears and saliva But it can also effect other parts of your body. In her case it was her lungs. She is better on meds and doing okay.

Thank you all for prayers and support. Pulmonologist thinks it’s a pocket of infection ...pneumonia . So it’s daily infusion of antibiotics.. off of work for several days and rescan on the 9th. Much relieved and resting in hopes of getting my strength back. It is the best news I could have received.🙏
