Just got a copy of my recent blood tests and need help reading them. The results are suggestive of pbc. Alpha feto proein 7. Alkaline phosphatase 131. Gamma GT level 78. Getting a bit worried and i dont see the consultant until this friday.

Hi pottery1

I am no expert, I was only diagnosed last November but your results don't seem too bad. They are only slightly above the normal range. My GGT level was 1,455! Are you AMA positive? If you have PBC they have hopefully caught it early and with medication it will be manageable.

I hope everything goes well on Friday, write down all of your questions because it is easy to forget everything during your appointment.

Gosh that does seem alot compared to mine. I'm not sure re AMA as there is no reference to this in my print out. It does say that the full blood count and white cell count is normal. Thanks for the reassurance, think i'll probably sleep better tonight. Such a worrying time. Thanks
