Hi everyone

Just reporting in with some good news this time. 👍😀

After I had the ERCP ,the end of Sept , I found that my pain had subsided for a month. Before the ERCP I had IV antibiotics which I felt eased my pain right away.

I discussed this with my specialist in he suggested that I may have chronic infection in my ducts which would cause the pain and the stones.

He suggested we try a routine of daily antibiotics - one kind for 21 days, then 7 days of another. Small dose once a day.

He said a trial will tell us if it’s working.

That was Nov 7. I’m feeling so much better.

Night sweats have stopped, I’m sleeping better, And. I’m pain free.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is going to ongoing.

I feel so blessed.

J

Can i ask if you have your gallbladder?

I had my gallbladder removed. 47 years old when my son was 1 month old. The stones are made in my liver in the intrahepatic ducts. Rare I’m told.

That should read 47 years ago.

I have had vert bad pain in the area where my gallbladder was. Went to see my pcp and he thinks i should have a ecrp. They called my gastro and he recommended a mrcp. So now I have to call and schedule then hope my ins will approve it.

Hi

Let me know how it goes.

The pain was awful and I was running a very low grade fever as well. 99.8*F. But I know my normal temperature was always 96.5*. And the doctor said the night sweats were a sign of infection . Feel so good to have the pain and sweats gone. I even have more energy.

Jeanette.
