Had fibroscan this morning. I was under impression I would know results immediately. Technician said she gets results immediately but my dr has to interpret & he will call me. Long day it was☹️ I should hear tomorrow

Yea, me too. One of my depressants is not knowing the condition of my liver. At least now , I'll have an answer. Tks!

I understand. I'm waiting for my biopsy report and honestly, not knowing is the worst.

I don't know. I had it Tuesday and when I called today, the medical assistant said to call back this afternoon or in the morning, that the results were not in yet. My husband will be gone all next week for a class his company is sending him to, so I hope to know before he leaves. 🤞

Yes they do the technician explained mine as I insisted as was anxious, just get on to your doctor asap to put your mind at rest xxx

To be honest, I've never had a technician give results of anything I've had done where I live. So maybe where you live is different.

I read my info sheet yesterday. It said the technician has results immediately but Dr will interpret. So I can't question what is in black & white. There is such a thing as liability if a technician gives you info & it isn't totally correct. So honestly I'd rather wait for my dr.

i had my test and got the results immediately.

I had two done & on both occasions they knew exactly what the score was as soon as they finish. The technicians told me & the specialist told me on both occasions, but then mine was in the normal range.

Drs office told me this morning, technician NEVER gives results on his tests. So I don't take that as s bad thing. Difference in dr's

I researched everything on the Fibroscan and when I had mine I saw the results on the computer screen!! The technician knew I knew what it said. Her face said it all.

That's great. When I had ultrasound & fibroscan, their machine is not positioned for you to see.
