URSO intake Time table

This disease is really surprising, yesterday I was doing great and I had my Urso 2,5 hrs later than I used to and went to bed. At 4:00 am woke up with sickness and a pain from my diaphragm to my lower tummy, cramps like gases and I could not sleep any longer. I made pooh 3 times but normal consistency. Today I have felt with discomfort in my stomach/tummy and completely exhausted. I can not related with any innapropiate meal. Has anyone had this experience?

Most of the pbcers have weak stomach. you might have eaten something which your stomach didn't tolerate, I guess!

If you had URSO 2.5 hours later than normal , did this mean you had them on an empty stomach? If so this may have been the reason, URSO should be taken with or directly after a meal. I know some can tolerate taking it with a snack, but I find I need to have mine at meal times or I get reflux.

Hi

I changed when I take mine due to experiencing uncontrollable gas and bowel movements which was becoming stressful and embarrassing for me at work. I reduced my intake from 2x250mg twice a day morning and night to taking 3x250mg once a day in the evening after my meal. This has helped some but not completely as I still get the wind but not as bad. I got the GP to do blood tests after 4 weeks and results showed no adverse increases (sorry I don't know all the levels of different bloods as some seem to on this site but Doc said they were fine). I'm not due to see consultant again until December so just informed him via his secretary. Might be worth speaking to your consultant re timing of taking and dose.

Before I had to stop taking it, I took immediately after breakfast & supper. I spaced 12 hours apart. No digestive problem.

Thank you for your advises, that is exactly what I wanted to know. I feel pretty much better today and as Sachin1234 said, probably it was something I ´ve eaten with a delay in my URSO intake (empty stomach).

I´ve been taking URSO since April 22nd, 1000 mg per day, 500mg in the morning and 500 mg in the evenings, and I think I tolerate it quite well.

My LFT´s (first results after URSO) were done but I have to go to my doc Sept 22nd for the results, Fibroscan will be run Sept 13th. Hoping everything will be under control.

Keep healthy
