Often they are just an incidental finding rarely causing any symptoms. usually you'll just have scans to make sure that's all it is.

I have this was discovered at my first ultrasound scan probably about 6 years ago now. They monitored it every 6 months and there has been little change since so I don't even have scans now. I was told that there's no cause for concern so try not to worry

Hi I was just told at one scan there was a slight change but nothing to worry about. My Gastroenterologist said that the fact it's stayed much the same since they first discovered it probably means it won't cause any problems. I don't follow any special diet other than not eating too much fatty food because it gives me indigestion. Still enjoy a couple of glasses of wine as he said that's fine too and he would advise me if the situation was to change. I had a fibroscan with excellent result so I must be doing something right lol

I pretty much eat anything I want. Not much red meat because I seem to find it hard to digest but I remember my Mum finding that too and wonder if it's just an age thing. Rarely eat fried food had a fish supper from chip shop last night (because hubby wanted one) and I've had indigestion ever since so it'll be a long time before I do that again! Small meals work best for me and I like plenty of veg. I don't think haemangioma is affected by diet though because my doctor said they think some people might just always have had them but it's only because they have a scan to check something else that they discover it's there. I think they're fairly common so I don't worry about it. They'll probably keep an eye on it to check alls well for you too.

Hey Lisa, I have 8 hemangiomas and one mystic one, they said it is not a bad one but anyway did not know what it is. Do you have ultra scan every year (or is it TTor magnetic one)?

Hi again. It's an ultrasound. My specialist is good too. He obviously reviews the imaging as well as the radiographer. Then in addition he sends them off to another Prof for a third opinion. So I realise I am lucky in that respect. Initially they said I would have repeat scans every 2 years but I said I would prefer more frequently. So far so good but it is scary. We have an increased risk of liver cancer with PBC so it's very important that these are monitored.
