Nails

I know we have ridges on our nails and they are thin and brittle..... does anyone get manicures with nail tops?

I know someone whose nails were totally ruined using false nails but she did not have PBC. I think it was something to do with the glue not allowing the nail bed to breath and she never took a break in between new nails being fixed.

I do not have ridges in my nails however they were quite week. I have started taking a regular vitamin tablet and the strength in my nails has improved.

I get my nails done every 2/3 weeks, I used to have tips then gel, I've had acrylic for years loved then as strong but very bad for my PBC nails,

Now for last two years I have the odd false nail on Tesco best then gel applied, I've had PBC for 15 years now, good luck.

I read somewhere that we should not have anything on our nails like a gel manicure so I get regular nail polish now sorry I can't remember where I read this? Maybe a web search for PBC and nail polish it may come up?

I do. I've been doing it for so long, I have no idea if I have ridges on my nails or not. I have what they call "gel nails" (not just the gel polish) that cure under those blue lights. I have not had any issues (that I know of!) and no one has told me not to do it.
