Hello janine541.

I often, well to correct myself, almost every night wake up just gone 2a.m. then I go back to bed and can guarantee next time is just gone 4a.m. If I am lucky during the night I can wake, pop to the loo and then return straight back to sleep for a while before re-waking.

I itch late at night and generally through until 6a.m. I have noticed though that some nights I don't feel itchy after 4a.m. but I never feel comfortable.

Being 53 now and having not long since completed the menopause I find that I feel very hot in bed these days (never been one for feeling the cold previously but never this hot at times) I feel this has some bearing on it all as well as having PBC.

I find I feel worse when I am out of synch by doing something different in the daytime (ie Bank Holidays like currentlyhere in England) but unfortunately cannot live life that doing the same 7 days a week.

I know one thing if I make plans to do anything, can usually guarantee (or even better still put a bet on it!) that I have a bad night if I have plans to go/be somewhere the following day.

Hi Janine541,

I have PBC/RA (Seronegtive). I used to take supplements, LDN, and my URSO. For the last 2 weeks I'm only taking URSO. I backed off everything else to start over and monitor more closely what effect each supplement does... good or bad. So, I've had issues with pain and insomnia.

Remember any sugar or tea/caffeine after 7:00 pm, 6:00 pm for some, will have an effect on your sleep. Some say it doesn't. But it sure does me. I don't eat simple sugar, but I drink tea and occasionally have coffee. Last night I was up at 1:00 am, 3:30 am, and 5:20 am Ugh! But, it was related to having to go to the bathroom, #1. So I need to watch my fluid (water) intake around bed time too because this can wake you up multiple times too.

How are you doing otherwise?

Stella

Always awake during night, I wake up feeling my body is going to explode with heat and pins & needles usually about 4/5 times every night, can't remember last time I had a night sleep. Often mentioned my sleep problems to doctor but they always dismiss it.

Not what you're looking for?
