When I got up this morning - and not sleeping well lately (I know some of you can relate) the fatigue was awful. Just showering was an effort.... walking down the hall and getting that much needed cup of coffee took all I had. I know that this can make for feeling overwhelmed right at the beginning of my day.
But you know what? I thought about how many of you begin your day just like this - none of us are alone in this journey to not let PBC rule our lives. I know it's hard not to on days like this but we try.
I hope you can find some solace in the fact that you are never alone. In my other support group I would encourage anyone experiencing severe itching or overwhelming fatigue (or both) to just let us know. All you have to write is "it's not a good day", "can't hardly function today", "itching is unbearable"..... any of these, and so many more, phrases speak volumes to us. We 'get it' without any further explanation. We truly understand, don't we? Maybe it's just a sad day... that's ok too. You are likely never alone with this feeling.
I want you to find this group a place of comfort, encouragement, or even just validation that what you feel is 'ok'. No other explanations are necessary.

Sorry to hear that, DonnaBoll. I, too, have had many nights of tossing and turning. 😩When I get up, it is an effort to shower, and I think of the energetic person that I was and how the days now just slip by because of low energy.
Some days are better than that, but it seems to require some cheerleading on my part to get going. Ultimately, it gets better when a friend or family member calls and I seem to get rejuvenated. Staying in contact with people is so helpful and having Health Unlocked to read and share experiences is priceless. You and others get it. Thank you and everyone for your postings.
🥰 Thank you for sharing your 'not so good days' but ways you've found to make them better. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Do something that makes you happy.
Sorry to hear this, Donna, as I know what it is like to have sleepless nights. You put it so well that it’s important to express these things and know that we’re not alone.
Thank you for sharing Donna and I’m sorry you’ve had the sleepless nights and fatigue. I’ve not been sleeping some nights but I’ve found one thing that helps is putting on a podcast. Somehow the sound of human voices seems to finally be what sends me off to sleep. Some nights I take melatonin which does work but leaves me drowsy with a headache the next day. Yes, some days are better than others and it’s so important to remember that the better days roll around again.
Thanks for the encouragement. I usually read..might need a different bedtime ritual. Thanks for the suggestion. I know there are apps that have 'sleep sounds'. Some recommend the app Calm. I'll check it out.
I’ve also heard of Sleep Stories that some people listen to. I haven’t tried them but I’m assuming they’re available on the internet. It’s 1am here in Australia so I’m in wakeful mode again 😂 I better put on a podcast! All the best Donna 🙂
