Hi, can any one interpret fibroscan results ? Had my results today, 6.8kPa,

Interquartile range 0.6 ? The KPa thing has dropped since the last one from 11.6 so the pills must be working . Have googled it but answers are too scientific for me !

Hi AmandaSlater,

I had a fibroscan recently in a UK hospital. I was told that they're used alongside other information about people's conditions as they're not always the most precise tool, but here's what they said about the numbers:

7 is the point above which there may be some scarring, and scores below this are in the normal range. 5.3 is the average normal. Seems like you've done well! Don't know what Interquartile range means, sorry.

Best wishes

Thank you so much for your answer, at least I have more understanding about it from you. Must admit I will sleep a bit easier tonight ! Just need to take folic acid as numbers are low, thought that was just for pregnant ladies and that certainly isn't me ! 😀
