Is it safe to take Imodium. Had diarrhoea assuming from starting urso for days now and can't keep anything down. Need a bit of relief from it!

Well my consultant prescribed it for me. Only problem was that urso gave me constipation instead :-)

I have problems with my bowels very often, gp told me to be careful with medication but you can take Imodium when needed.

Hi I am now 2 months in to URSO and had diarrhoea for the first 4 weeks but now my body is used to it and it is fine. I did take Imodium when I needed to go out for a while just to NBC on the safe side. 😀

Was it the worst diarrhoea ever? Stopped the Imodium and mine is back. Awful

Well it was as if I had to go instantly which was not good but over time it is getting back to normal as I was very regular before the URSO! Now I do not have to worry and I did just cut out the fibre for the first few weeks as this made it worse but then I think you may need to introduce the fibre back gently as it is good for you apparently- very little help on the diet front with this PBC I find.

Yes, I take Imodium once every three days. If I'm stressed, I need to take it every day. Good Luck!
