Just recently I have been getting lots of bruises appearing on my body. They seem to be on the lower part of my body especially my stomach they seem to be in a line. Had them a few weeks ago and now they are back. Has anybody else experienced this?

No one has ever mentioned them before but i have bruises all the time. Any where on my body and it takes the slightest bumps or pressure. Also my arms are constantly covered in bleeds just under the skin from either scratching an itch or if i rub against another surface. If i don't have sleeves on then my skin just peels off. I have had some terrible tears. Gardening is the worst now because i love to garden but if i rub against a rock or tree trunk or fence i have some serious dressings needing to be done. I always thought that was a problem for people in their 70ies or 80ies , not people in their 50ies. Holding a baby on my lap if they are trying to stand leaves me covered in bruises in my lap. Have been like this for many years and always thought it was my liver problem that caused it but when no one else spoke about it i thought it must just be another part of me being weird. Lol.
I would contact the 'PBC Foundation' (link to their websiteat the top of the page, they 'host' this site on 'Health Unlocked'). Once you have their website, you can find contact numbers /email address to talk to one of their trained advisors, they may know more about this.
I think a few other people may have mentioned bruises, but not that recent or frequent, so best to ask the experts. They are very helpful.
They are like small fingerprint bruises as you said. I have them on my legs also and even on my foot. I know they are not down to any bumps or injuries. Never had anything like this until I started the urso in June 2016. Could be a connection. Don t feel confident enough in my gp to bother asking him. They are not painful just seems odd
Hi, I've been diagnosed 28 years and am now in Stage 4 - whilst I did get the occasional bruise (for no apparent reason) during the first 20 odd years I am now finding some really impressive bruises daily. While some of these bruises occur in similar ways as Wilmahair's (above) many just seem to appear out of nowhere - being in Stage 4, I have been putting them down to my low platelet count due to my enlarged spleen.
Easy bruising can be a symptom of PBC, see the 'Symptoms of PBC' in the link below:
I've been Stage IV for 5 years. I think anytime the liver is compromised and your platelet count is down you can find bruises and have no memory of bumping into something.
I've noticed this since being on holiday inn August Ive had a couple of really massive black purple bruises on the tops of my legs and I have no idea where they have come from, I forgot to mention this to my consultant yesterday and didnt realise there could be a connection
