Does anyone get indigestion or any other symptoms when they're stressed?
I've noticed lately if I get stressed mainly at work. I get quite bad indigestion. I never used to before. Just wondering why. As I calm down it disappears. Very strange 😊

Hi there. Haven't noticed this specifically but I do know when I'm stressed I eat far too quickly & certainly don't chew my food properly so that definitely leads to indigestion. I've had to make a conscious effort to slow down and it does help.
Hi Louedwards, Mine all started with acid reflux,so defo something to do with PBC, I take omprazole once a day, and it keeps it at bay, apparently Stress does figure high at not being good for the Liver, Try to relax more, Have you got a stressful job?, I messaged you a while back asking if you were on facebook, as thought we could swap notes, especially with living so close. Mylo2 (Jan Robertson)
Hi Jan I looked for you on Facebook but couldn't find you I'm afraid. X
whats your name on facebook? x
Hi Louedwards, yes I do. Have been on Ranatidine for quite a while before that omeprazole due to reflux. Just recently was in a stress situation and still got indigestion for which I took good old Rennies (not prescribed).
Best wishes
Louedwards....do you still have your gallbladder? I was having so many issues with my gb, once it was removed, the indigestion disappeared. (and by the way, don't let them tell you your gb is normal after an ultrasound...mine required a hidascan.) Best of luck!
I was thinking about this...and it would make sense that stress=more adrenaline=more stomach acids=more indigestion. (Talk about making a stressful situation more stressful!) I haven't had that symptom, but I wonder if pre-emptively treating with tums/antacids could help with that? Best of luck
I've always attributed my anxiety to my queasiness and loss of appetite. Although I'm newly dx as of about 4 months ago during routine colonoscopy and blood work. Is this what most PBC 'ers go through? I know everything is better when I'm less stressed, also just recently dx with "High blood pressure" stage 2. It has been extreme highs and lows recently. Is that also a symptom?
If anyone knows, appreciate your comments.
