Itchy skin no rash

Hi I have had itchy skin on and off for some time now, but it’s come to be extreme now! Benedryl does nothing and now I’m on Prednisone which should help if allergy, but it’s not working yet! I had doctors take liver enzymes to check my liver! I have 4 other autoimmune diseases? Does this put me at risk to get other autoimmune disorders? What kind of doctor should I see to get this sorted out!

I was told to see a rheumatologist for autoimmune outside of PBC. I’ve not made appt just yet but I need to. My ANA Cascade suggested scleroderma.

Do you know which other 4 you have? I know I have reynauds without being told. My calcium level was a little high so my hepatologist sent me to an endocrinologist. She did a 24 hour urine calcium test but it was normal.

Not sure what APS is. In the beginning (2years ago), I was negative for Sjogrens & RA. I’ve been fortunate with no itch.

PBC causes extreme itching even if your lfts are within range. I take antihistamines which help but doesn’t stop it completely. It’s odd you have been given steroids if they don’t know what’s causing the itch. I have lupus and sjogrens and see a rheumatologist for both of those

I have just been given Colestyramine for itching. It does seem to be working but I’ve only been on it for a couple of days.
