A Must Watch... :-)

" its all in your head dear .." shame on them..

I could have taken that leading role ! But others were probably much closer to S.A.C. Degen than me...

Excellent, thank you very much Nackapan.

I shall try and find that episode to watch. Very interestingly the Theme song for the programme is Somebody Help Me.

This Diagnosis of Hysterical Inversion syndrome and similar, Hysteria was removed from a Diagnostic manual in 1980. Many people will suffer from it whilst watching the Olympic Games in Paris. It is called Normal Human Behaviour but they want to cash in on it.

Meanwhile, very serious diseases are dismissed as stress, anxiety or a person converts their emotions so they fall over, has seizures and loose consciousness.

Oh and according to the Men in White coats, hysteria originated in the womb. Therefore, by that line of thinking, Every Foetus and Baby must have caught it too. But then, IYKYK - If You Know You Know, is one of the latest edition’s in the Cambridge English dictionary.

The Script Writers in Medicine refers to anyone who writes, signs and dates a prescription.

Conversion not inversion I expect ! Said so fleetingly i misheard .Apparently she was told her issues of severe balance issues were because she didn't want to really visit her son in jail.

It just jumps ouf now in any programme if B12 tested !

Not to worry about mishearing.

See how the doctor has filled in the gaps of she didn't want to really visit her son in jail.

The Doctor has made unfounded and wild speculation about the woman. That Nackapan is bias. Nowadays, Hysterical Conversion Syndrome equates to Functional Neurological Disorder. Yes, we do get some Bad Press meaning if the media are going to write stories on PA/B12 at least communicate some accuracies.

Just a quick aside, Do you think the NHS GP’s in England will accept the 22% pay rise ?

😉

I hope so ! The Agenda for change helped my pay packet.

I do think there's a general misunderstanding of pay bands v responsibility and unsocial hours worked.

Definitely a vocation not vacation with my typos lol .

Type still fades and disappears from the right as I type .

One symptom that is improving from B12 def .

Also the new term 'resident doctor ' rather than junior doctor from Sepember??

B12 assay in The Royal? Wow. In Scarborough. [aka Scarbados]. Must've missed that [originally]. I wonder where the lab was? We did have B12 assays in those days, but they were microbiological, suited for small batches, and very labour intensive. The classic, and more of a challenge, was based on Euglena Gracilis, as it needed light to photosynthesize. The Lactobacillus Leichmannii method was much easier, but still quite a challenge. One or two people, working two days, could do around 100-150 tests, read the results off a calibration curve, and report the results. I dread to think. Now, fully automated, it takes around 30 minutes for the first result.
