" In 1969, D.H. Davis changed the name of the bacteria to its present name because of the discovery that the bacteria contained many features known to be in mitochondria. It is possible that Paracoccus denitrificans is an ancestor to the eukaryotic mitochondria. "
If only our damn mitochondria were (still?) able to make their own B12, that would certainly save us a lot of bother with this damned contrived absorption system π€£

Yes, they were definitely in a hurry. They actually put the B12 producing bacteria in the large intestine, after where the human body can absorb it! π«π€
What builds mitochondria? Exercise! Also red ginseng and possibly licorice root activates. Support your mitochondria by not blocking them with seed/vegetable oils and glyophsate.
Hi Wwwdot, I used to post about the summits designed to educate current functional medicine findings. Doctors are interviewed and put online for free. I've watched hundreds of them so I can't give you a particular reference. I did download the Mitochondrial Summit videos since ATP is so vital. I don't know how it relates to P.A. You have thousands of mitochondria inside every cell. The brain, retina and heart are the most populated.
Make sure you get B vitamins.
"What is the biochemical function of vitamin B complex?
In addition to serving as cofactors in biochemical reactions, the vitamin B complex is vital for normal body growth and development, healthy skin, the proper function of nerves and the heart, and red blood cell formation.B vitamins induce a lot of chemical reactions the proper function of nerves and the heart, and red blood cell formation."
I think a lot of that is correct. This isn't really about LDL though. Dr. Tom J. Lewis who was a researcher at Harvard is an expert in this and blasts the myths regarding cholesterol. I've dodged statins for years.
I myself have avoided stations. The reason is I go over all the tests not just one. My only question now are medical professionals really any worse at B12 then much of what they do or is it just that we can find out?
Two good questions! My opinion is you can't trust much from conventional medicine and I believe good research is often shut down or paid off. I'm sorry I don't know enough about B12 or P.A. to add anything.
Heloise you're moving the goalposts from seed oils on to cholesterol but howsoever - I'm not sure what "myths" you are referring to around cholesterol but this coverage may help:
Sorry, it seem so much about LDL and heart disease I thought you had changed the topic. He didn't mention mitochondria once that I heard. Keep up the good work. Did you ever look at articles by this man? Dr. Ray Peat?
But aren't the old ways often ridiculed. If I were a technoid I would attempt a discussion but since I'm not we will just take our sides. I also respect Eric Berg, haha.
Or perhaps the way the body is using B12 is a genetic modification. Based on a study I just made up right now people that experience B12 deficiency are generally more emotionally mature compared to the general population.
I could probably get a grant to do a review of the information now available on the internet and call it a study. : )
