Anyone know how to get hydroxocobalamin in high doses? I'm looking for something in the 10-50mg range.

Tablets or b12 ampoules for Injection ??The latter never heard of unless used for patients in hospital for various contortions

I'd prefer tablet or powder. But I think it's edible either way...

I don’t know of tablets with such high content . Why not take several of a lower content? Comes to the same thing .

You can buy liquid hydroxocobalamin, and just take as much as you want .

I only know of methylcobalamin in very high doses. It's kept in plating shops and other locations using cyanide. It's the only antidote, and even then you have to be quick.

It's as an injection for straight into the system.

Makes nonsense of cyanocobalamin, doesn't it?

I heard hydroxocobalamin was the antidote.... But yes, it makes perfect sense 😭 why give you the antidote when you can have the poison.

That would be a very high dose. Typically you might take 1mg and up to 6 of those a day.

Do you know why you need such a high dose?

Most companies supply that, just look at Amazon for a trusted supplier.

The highest I've seen is 10,000mcg (10mg) but this is methyl/adenosyl:

For hydroxocobalamin, 5,000mcg (5mg) is highest I've seen:

That squares with my search. Never seen retail hydroxocobalamin above 5mg. There are some wholesalers that offer in g and kg, but not to retail consumers.

yes doses much larger than this would be for example cyanokit, used to treat cyanide, but that wouldn't be available to consumer. Although B12 does not have a tolerable upper limit for safety, at the volume injected with cyanokit I think electrolyte balance or something like that ? becomes a consideration (purely due to fluid volume) and needs professional monitoring.

Comprehensive profile of the b12 analogues. Covers conversion, bioavailability, absorption.

I know the paper. One of the best segments I like to point out to folks who insist that X form is better than another is this:

"Numerous studies and reviews of B12 metabolism have shown that CNCbl, MeCbl, OHCbl, and AdCbl are reduced to the core cobalamin molecule inside the cytosol. It is important to note that the ligands specific to the ingested B12 form—methyl and adenosyl—are removed during that process and not used inside cells during the conversion of cobalamin to the 2 active forms of B12 "
