Aluminium in Hydroxocobalamin?

Hello all, I have a sky high aluminium level, and worry if my B12 Hydroxocobalamin injections contribute to this. I buy from Germany, Hevert 1 mg ampuls. It doesn't say in the ingrediens lidt, but does anyone know if there could be a hidden aluminium salt despite this? Thanks!

I suggest you have a look at previous posts (though they do not seem to be found easily by search), such as:

No. There is no detectable aluminium in any injectable B12.

Some cyanocobalamin in America will say 'Contains no more than X aluminium' or 'May contain up to X aluminium'. Where X is a very, very, small amount. That's because of a stupid (I believe, Californian) law that says you're not allowed to say that an injectable contains zero aluminium unless you can prove it. There's two problems with that -

1. Aluminium is the third most abundant element in the Earth's crust (8.3%). So everything contains small amounts of aluminium, especially the glass of the ampoule. So the fluid will contain some.

2. It's impossible to detect a single atom of aluminium, so you can never say it contains none at all.

The more sensitive the test, the more expensive it is. So the cyanocobalamin makers test one batch with a test that can detect much lower than anything harmful (X) and say that their product contains less than X amount of aluminium.

Other sources then look at this and say 'Oooh, look! Their B12 may contain aluminium'. Others read this and say 'This B12 contains aluminium'. Others then say 'B12 gives you autism'.

If Al isn't listed then it is there in amounts too small to be detected without expensive machinery. And in amounts far too small to be at all dangerous.

Thanks for your reply and sharing your knowledge. I was so hoping this wouldn´t become a permanent problem, as I´m (like all of you PAS-people) as I´m dependant on this Hydroxcobalamin injection every 7 weeks. Very comforting, indeed.

Thanks!

and as I read this, there shouldn´t be anything hidden:

That will be for an American preparation. In the EU you will not find parabens.

Well, that's even better...I buy from Hevert in Germany.

I remember my father being prescribed antiperspirant years ago as he was experiencing extremely high sweating, he was told to spray it all over every day.

When he saw another GP he was told to stop at once as there was aluminium in the antiperspirant which would be harmful with such excessive use.

Just a suggestion in case you use it.

My father is type 1 diabetic and excessive sweating was a symptom he had when he was active and working, he would come home drenched after working.

Thanks for sharing🙌.

It's not the source for my part, cause I have been using socalled natural deodorants for the past 10 plus years.

If it isn't the injections (luckily), I will be searching further. Thank you!

When I was tutoring for the OU the SUmmer School included a presentation that a team of students had to make on a choice of topics. One was aluminium.

Almost all groups found that aluminium in antiperspirants was harmless. As was aluminum saucepans. Only very high levels in drinking water, as with Camelford - theguardian.com/society/201... - causes severe problems. And that had levels of aluminium 3000 times higher than the maximum permitted level.

Gosh, yes, what a disaster....I´m from Denmark, and despite having too high levels sometimes of chemical polution, in all our drinking water is not containing too high levels of aluminium. But, I have had som vaccinations that I should look more into, cause I can see for a fact, that they are actually way too toxic. thanks, fbirder!

Interesting, the incident with my father was many years before this, maybe there was more aluminium in them at that time.

I remember he had about 6 canisters at a time and used them within 2 weeks to I can understand him being told to stop using them as he would have obviously been inhaling the antiperspirant whilst spraying that amount onto his body from that amount.
