Importing ampoules after Brexit

In the days before Brexit I used to buy B-12 ampoules from Versandapo, MyCare, Bodfeld, etc.

I got a big supply of B-12 to see me through the Covid pandemic, so I haven't bought any for a couple of years

Are there now additional taxes to pay after Brexit? Who is responsible for them: the seller or the customer?

Any info would be welcome! Thank you.

No additional taxes to pay as long as the sum involved is less than £? I’ve forgotten the sum , but purchase of B12 for normal use is not affected . It’s about £300.00 I think .

You will find that our favourite ampoule Panpharma ( previously Rotexmedica) B12 Depot ( Hydroxocobalamin) is virtually unobtainable now .

Some German online pharmacies have given up selling to U.K. , because since Brexit , they have to cope with customs forms. , which previously was unnecessary.

HOW TO OBTAINB12 (Hydroxocobalamin) AMPOULES FROM REGISTERED GERMAN ONLINE PHARMACIES

Things have changed regarding ordering b12Depot ampoules( Hydroxocobalamin ) which is what is used by the NHS in U.K.

I use apohealth.de They do not  charge for delivery , You can choose to have the site in English ( bottom left ) . Pay with Paypal or card .

versandapo.de You need Google Chrome for translation .

There are a few other German online pharmacies that deliver to U.K.  I will add these when I find out  Always good to have an alternative .

Some of the pharmacies that supply Amazon.de with Pascoe B12 depot ampoukes and Hevert b12depot ampoules do supply U.K. , but not all.

You can’t use the reference numbers to order from Amazon.de

You have to use the brand names .

I advise registering , This makes subsequent ordering simple.  Put your country in FIRST by clicking on the drop-down country list . Your post-code and the rest of your address will then be accepted .

You can use the following  reference numbers to order

Packet of 10 Pascoe B12 depot Hydroxocobalamin single use ampoules 1.5mg x1ml —07568672

Ditto 100 ampoules 07568695

—————————————————————

Packet of 10 Hevert B12 depot Hydroxocobalamin single use ampoules -1mg x 2ml 06078368

Ditto 100 ampoules.06078380

Unfortunately our favourite ampoules , the Panpharma brand B12 depot -Hydroxocobalamin ( previously Rotexmedica ) are at the moment unobtainable.

The above brands  work very well but are unfortunately more expensive than Panpharma  .  But when needs must……….

Best wishes .

I've just ordered some from Amazon.de following Wedgewood's links, 10 ampoules plus delivery cost about £22.50. It's been a while since I ordered any as I only SI every 2 months between NHS ones but I don't think they've gone up a huge amount in price, obviously cheaper overall if you buy in bulk but no additional taxes etc were added

wedgewood 's information is always good up-to-date and reliable.

I have now opted for Pascoe - which is 1.5mg - so stronger than the Panpharma which was 1mg. This means that although you pay more for them, you can probably space them out a little longer.

I injected Panpharma previously with a 2-day break, now use Pascoe with a 3-day break.

What I have noticed is that the B12 spots have returned - strange because I haven't had them since the start of B12 injections. I have also been aware that I have more energy, less patience and restless sleep - likely I haven't got used to using the surplus energy in a useful way yet (?)

Still a work in progress.

I hope you have a successful shopping trip.

Hi Cheyrlclaire,

I also ordered the Pascoe depot just waiting on delivery. It takes a while coming to US from Germany. I am a little nervous as I have never tried the Hydroxo just Cyano. I could use more energy but I don't need to be any less patient than I am! :)

What are the B12 spots that you get?

I have mild petechiae but I had it before the injections and still get them even after a year of injections. Mine are not clusters just single blood spots far apart.

These are spots that relate to the introduction of injected B12 - usually seen when treatment begins. Like acne. They are found around the hairline and on the face. Sometimes neck, and intrusively, in ear canal ! Then after a few days, they just go.

Seems after a while, they just stop coming. Rarely, there are people here who report this continuing to be a problem. Not everyone gets them.

I have had the occasional return after a bit of a setback.

They don't really bother me as I'm not a teenager and it is an indication that at least something is happening ! So, to me, a good sign. They are a fairly common B12 reaction initially - in fact I don't know of any other B12 reaction occurring, although some here react to different brands. This is more likely due to the mix or variance in percentages of other ingredients.

I actually like Pascoe, as I don't need to inject so often, and I think I will get used to it. I can't compare this with cyanocobalamin as I've never had that.
