B12 Ampoules

I ordered B12 ampoules through Amazon (German site) which were quite expensive (if you add on the Export Duty after Brexit). I ordered quite a large quantity (it was during lockdown) but when they arrived they all had the same expiry date of Nov 22. The result is that I have over approx. 100 ampoules due to expire in 6 weeks time! Does anyone know of a reasonable UK site re to buy more B12 ampoules?

You can only buy B12 ampoules in U.K. if you have a doctors prescription . Tge best place to buy is a German online pharmacy . Cheaper than German Amazon . Best to buy Panpharma B12 depot .

I’ll send you the information .

Hi Wedgewood, I have noticed that the ampoules I purchased through Amazon Germany are 2mls. The ones I have seen on German Pharmacies (looking today) are 1ml ampoules - do you know why this is and does it make any difference to my dosage?

No , Silvershine. Hevert ampoules contain 1mg of Hydroxocobalamin. .When I first started self injecting, I used those Hevert B12 depot ampoules , but changed to Panpharma ( then called Rotexmedica,) because 1) they were cheaper and 2) I preferred injecting 1ml of liquid .

versandapo.de is a good German online pharmacy which does stock Panpharma B12 depot some of the time . They keep going out of stock lately , so if you use them and the ampoules are out of stock , you need to leave your email address in th3 box provided, and they will let you know when they are available. Then you need to be quick and order!!!

Pascoe B12 depot ampoules are 1.5 mg X 1ml .

Note I write “ Depot “ to refer to Hydroxocobalamin B12 . , other wise you get B12 Cynocobalamin if you don’t specify Depot .

have you lodged a complaint with Amazon?

I’ve been sent food products out of date and got replacements .

Hi Scott-rock. I haven't complained to Amazon, it was so long ago. I also read a post on here that this had happened to someone else (unfortunately after I had made my purchase). Also, unfortunately, expiry dates are not listed. If the dates were listed it might have occured to me that I was purchasing more than I could use in a specific time period. I have also checked this on a few German Pharmacy sites but can't find expiry dates on those sites either. Will be a lot more aware of this & won't be bulk purchasing to "stock up" as I did during lockdown.

It happened to me also . I complained to the pharmacy that my 100 ampoules were only valid to use fot 1 year . They wrote back that they were perfectly within reason and the law to supply medications that were valid for 6 months . ….

This might make you feel better, but I have in the past used expired Hydroxocobalamin. It does still work for a time, for how long I don't know, but I'm not about to waste mine.

If you keep the value of your order under £135, you will not be charged duty.
