Query on ampoule size with new supplier?

Wife self injects b12 three times a week. Previously used rotexmedica from Germany as many others on here, but unable to source now it seems due to brexit issues? Managed to source from Amazon.de. But supplier is Hevert. The ampoules are 1000mg in 2ml where previously with rotexmedica were 1000mg in 2ml, so double the volume. That means to get same effect all 2 ml will need to be injected.... yes? She injects subcut.

Also our current syringes are 1ml so should we just use one syringe twice, 2 syringes, or just by some 2ml syringes?

Is there an issue injecting 2ml subcut where previously only 1ml?

Worried about continuity of supply so don’t want to ditch the 2ml ampoules as we have bought 2 x 100 ampoules . It’s not the cost more the safety of 2 ml injection , and my wife’s peace of mind. Any advice appreciated thanks

Its the same dose of b12 buf i agree alot if fluid.I do subcutaneous injections.

I would do it in 2 injections as so much fluid then you woukdnt have an issue with the syringe.

Thats only what I would do.

Have no idea why they are made?

I would buy a supply of 2 mL syringes.

I find that they're better for 1 mL injections anyhow, so you can still use them when you go back to 1 mL injections.

When i first started self-injecting , I used those Hervert 1mg x 2ml ampoules ,without any trouble . They worked very well indeed . I changed to Rotexmedica 1mg x 1ml because they were cheaper.also advantageous because there was less liquid to inject . I would buy some 2ml syringes , and inject the whole dose at once . Those 2ml syringes are better than 1ml syringes because they are more efficient in getting every last drip of B12 out of the 1ml ampoule .
