Does anyone know about this form of B12? is it more effective than standard B12 supplements? would it be an alternative to injections?

No i don't think anything compares to b12 injections. This is yet another b12 oral spray.

If you can absorb b12,any oral dose is fine .

High dose b12 can be passively absorbed. ? 1% of what's taken.

Very expensive

I've tried and can't get enough this way.

Even to just get fewer injections not effective for me.

Worth a try .

Interesting question. I found one study in which participants with low B12 were given sublingual liposomal B12 and it was found it raised the serum B12 level. What’s missing from the study is any comparison of that method of delivery with oral tablet / injections, and also there is no indication, so far as I can see, that any of the participants had pernicious anaemia. And serum level isn’t necessarily the best indicator of the effectiveness of treatment.

While I think it’s a good area to keep an eye on, for now, personally I’d stick with injections as there’s a body of research and patient experience indicating their efficacy. Although they’re more invasive, they’re probably not going to be more expensive than liposomal, if self-injecting.

Theres not a lot of research around effectiveness of the liposomal technology yet, but since we're talking B12 the supplements are probably safe (if from a reputable supplier). Whether they would be more effective than oral/sublingual would be interesting to know but I don't think enough research has been done to confirm that yet. I doubt they could compete with or be an alternative to injections though.
