cold toes

I wondered if anyone suffers with cold toes, even in the heatwave I’ve had socks on the toes to keep them warm. Sometimes they look purple. I have PA and B12 injections every 10 weeks at the doctors but also inject at home.

May be Raynauds I had it many years ago but that wax in an unheated house.

May be worth a read?

Do exercises for circulation help?

Thanks for your reply. I try to keep my toes and feet moving but find a heated blanket works best.

I agree with Nackapan worth getting it checked out or if can"t see a GP at least have a word with a good Pharmacist 😀

I have one cold foot which I think is due to nerve damage from b12 deficiency. One of my symptoms was this along with an uncomfortable feeling in the big toe on the same foot - couldn’t stand having the bed clothes resting on it at night. The discomfort in the toe disappeared with B12 injections but unfortunately I’m still left with the cold foot. I had investigations to see if it was a problem with my circulation which were negative which is why I believe it to be nerve damage.Worth getting it checked out.

My extremeties freeze when my iron dips or when thyroid is low. Do you have a recent iron panel (iron, TIBC, % saturation, ferritin) or can you get one? If GP won't test, there are private options, depending on what country you're in.

I have constantly hot and cold feet and ankles. Wear bed socks even in heat wave. Rug over them when sitting. If I am walking ,I don't notice it so much. And wiggle alot. Ho humm.

my feet are always cold, my toes and fingers numb and tingly but this sensation does wear off after a B12 injection but my feet remain cold. I have recurring iron deficiency too and I think that also contributes to my cold feet and general poor circulation. However I would caution blaming everything on PA and lack of B12 and get something like that checked out just in case it is treatable and not related. I found keeping a chart of symptoms and whether they improved after or worsened before a B12 injection helped explain things to the doctor.
