Hi everyone,

I want to begin self injection of B12 between visits to the surgery. Is there a link on this site I can go to with details of what to order, eg sizes of sharps and reliable suppliers.

Thank you for this wonderful site and those who share their experience and knowledge.

Morning, brainchild

My go to site for supplies is

medisave.co.uk They sell many types of needles , syringes , swabs and the yellow sharps boxes.

I I.M. inject ( Intramuscular) I use a green needle to withdraw the B12 and use an orange needle (finer) needle to inject. If the needle touches the glass when withdrawing it can blunt the tip of the needle thus making your injection painful.

Hope this helps 😊

Also look at wedgewoods posts. For a shopping list.

A recent post on technique from Cheryl Claire should help too.

I do subcutaneous b12 I jettisoned at home.

Green 21g to withdrawal b12

Yellow 30G 1/2 " to Inject.

2" at least away from belly button.

Make a roll and inject in fat.

Thighs

Hips

Arms can also be used

Good luck
