looking at their website they look like a typical seller of vitamin products -lots of hype about what B12 can do for you and very little actual supporting data - the reality being that it will correct the symptoms of a deficiency but if B12 deficiency isn't the cause of the symptoms it won't do anything for you.- the product looks quite expensive but I don't use injectable B12 - and would expect it to be more expensive anyway because it is less stable.they won't be the manufacturers as most B12 is made in China and then repackaged by suppliers.

As it is being sold as a vitamin supplement it won't be subject to the same quality control requirements that it would need to meet if being supplied for medical reasons.

If you are looking for methyl because you have read sales hype saying that it is a purer form then please be aware that there is some more modern research on the processes for transferring B12 from blood to cells that falsify this claim - the methyl element is separated from the cobalamin in order to transfer it into the cell and then the methyl element is recombined inside the cell if needed for a process that requires methylcobalamin ... or with adenosyl element if the process that it is being used for requires adenosylcobalamin.

Have you already tried methylcobalamin injections?

Asking because some people feel awful on that form and don't want you to waste your money buying a large amount if you have not tried it out.

in reply toLitatamon

You know Litatamom, I was thinking the same thing. Thank you for reaching out on that because I'm currently injecting the cyanocobalamin. I did place the order yesterday for only 10 vials but thats still 49.99 wasted if they make me feel bad. Did you have a bad experience with the methylcobalamin?

Before I answer please know that some people feel no difference between the forms. And maybe, and hopefully, you will be that person.

I do and did feel different.

I use both cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin. I feel the best on cyanocobalamin but am paranoid because I have one kidney, and my gfr suddenly dropped - quite rapidly. So I add hydroxocobalamin into my routine. I do not think it was because of the cyanocobalamin, but I am erring on the side of caution.

I also feel the sudden jolt of cyanocobalamin but in tandem feel the steady energy of hydroxocobalamin - definitely lasts longer.

Methylcobalamin, well let's just say it was a one time ride with injections. Laughing.

I did not sleep the entire night and felt jittery and overly emotional before it left my system (before and after sleeplessness). Totally out of sorts.

Once again, some people feel no difference so it is good to give it a whirl.

As for money wasted, let it go if you can. I can't even explain how much money I have wasted on supplements - money that was needed elsewhere - hoping and praying. I am sure I am not alone. Including about three different supplements/sprays/vitamins that I somehow missed that they contained methylcobalamin.

Hoping it works out for you.

Thanks for reply Litatamon. You are so right about how much money spent on trying different supplements but most of all, the consequences on my well-being. Almost afraid to try methylcobalamin. Take care. Best

Oh don't be! I got my methylcobalamin shot from a naturopathic doctor. I was her only patient that had such a reaction. So obviously it is not a large percentage of people that it adversely affects.
