After Versandapo stopped delivering to the UK, I registered and set up an account with Bodfeld Apotheke . I placed an order for Rotexmedica 1ml B12 Depot with them on Monday 26th July 2021 and paid via international bank transfer. Parcel Force delivered it 2 days later on Wed 28th July 2021. Amazingly quick service ..postage cost was €9.98 and use by date is April 2023....hope this helps

They've always come through for me when I ordered from them. Glad to see you had good results too.

Brilliant - again - I thought about asking you to post yourself so more people could see it and it would be easier to find in future to reference! Thank you! 👍

Versandapo still deliver to UK, it’s just that they’ve increased their prices.

Did you have to pay VAT and import duty on the b12 vials?

Import duty only applies once the value is over £135. Below, it is treated as a personal import which is not subject to duty.

VAT is another matter! Properly set up, the vendor charges UK VAT at the time or ordering and remits it to the UK's HMRC. Thus, there should be no further charges. But some companies are not set up properly.

Thanks Helvella...oh dear will end up paying then as I stocked up 4 a years supply....lol. I ordered from Amazon.de

I kept my reply simple as I expected it to cover most circumstances. But...

a) Amazon are set up to charge UK VAT. (All significant shopping platforms are set up to do so. It is small outfits who might not be.) If they did charge VAT, you will not be liable. If they did not, you could have a 20% VAT bill.

b) Duty only applies to some products. I think B12 is not dutiable. But determining applicable duty is itself a complex area with arguments about classifications and countries of origin.

Any VAT or duty that needs to be paid would incur a charge from the delivery company.

You might have done better splitting into two or three orders?

Indeed Helvella I shouldve split it. I panicked as I thought a shortage was looming and I need to inject twice daily sadly so was worried I'd run out. Hey ho....

waveylines helvella If you order from Amazon.de and there's a problem then can you speak to someone at Amazon.uk to resolve it or must you deal with Amazon.de direct?

helvella profile image
helvella in reply to Cetus

I'd be surprised if UK could deal with it. But I've only bought a few things from DE and never had an issue.

I've no idea Cetus....am guessing it would be Amazon.de first call but if that didn't work I guess you could contact Amazon UK. I have an Amazon account set up originally with Amazon UK which I used to pay Amazon.de....so sounds like its interchangeable?

I only had to pay delivery charge of €9.98 and expiry date on B12 is April 2023...my total order was under£100.00 so, perhaps that's why I paid no import duty.

I ordered over the limit of £135. Have had a phone message - difficult to understand but I think I am being charged. Will see what delivery says.

I’ve just registered so that I’m set up ready for when I next need to order. However, I’ve just had a look and they don’t seem to have Rotexmedica 1ml B12 depot at the moment.

There’s other brands which supply 1500ug/1ml or 1000ug/2ml of hydroxo or there’s 1000ug/1ml cyanocobalamin. I’ll keep looking though!

I ordered mine- hydrox -from Amazon.de different brand. They had some a few days ago.

Sorry I don't have great knowledge of computer systems but , this is how I manage to translate pages....our laptop uses Microsoft Edge browser and that comes with option to translate whole pages by simply right clicking on page and choosing translate in dropdown menu...hope that helps
