Someone who was starting to self inject was worried about breaking the ampoul when trying to open it for injecting - if you go on to Amazon and look for ampoul openers you will find that they have some for sale - i have one and they are brilliant - hope this helps.

i agree ! I never used one until I cut myself badly. I bought a really good one that cuts off the neck of the ampoule very cleanly . No tiny shards to drop into the ampoule .

I never got on with the opener. So use an empty syringe, perfect snap everytime and glass top stays in syringe until I tap it out in sharps bin.

I also use the syringe body to lever the top. I also use a length of aluminium tube to hold the body. This works well and gives a clean break with no particles breaking away. I did not find the cheap plastic ampoule breakers worked very well and certainly gave small shard.

SnspIT gives a clean break recommended on here by fbirder and Ritchie after trying others . Woujd be lost without it now Great gadget

It is always good when something works - instead of wasting money on gadgets that are useless.👍
