I found Boots Deep Moisturising foot cream very good, not just for the feet ...There probably are similar products out there but it works for me ... even use it as a very effective face cream :)

Baby oil helps or if willing to splash out the Australian bio oil. For the scalp try massaging in the warm oil and then wrap hot towel round and leave for a while before washing hair. Mind you at this moment in time with us not going out you could probably get away with not washing hair!!!

Yes I've had :Warm coconut oil

Warm olive oil.

Almond oil

Avocado oil

With and without various essential oils . Wrapped in a turbin head towel . One binned as concoction wouldnf wash out. One of thoes plastic shower caps would bd good.

A good remedy for head lice if anyone gets stuck with children and no chemist open. Btw.

Coal tar shampoos but only occasionally.

I try and leave it on as long as possible.

The cats are wary now.

They give me wide berth !!

Still not completely gone yet .

No dandruff just sore and so itchy .

Another first 🤷‍♂️

Yes baby oils worth a try thanks. Good for cradle cap after all .

Hi Nackapan,

I found that when I supplemented with EFA's (essential fatty acids) it really helped my skin.

I was taking starflower oil a few years back to help with joint pain as it is anti inflammatory and found it helped my skin lots too. If I remember correctly starflower oil has high levels of omega 6 fatty acids.

If you eat fish, mackerel and sardines, so oily fish could help too. Fish oil supplements (not cod liver oil though) could be helpful.

There are contraindications; if someone's taking warfarin, as fish oils are also blood thinning so possibly best avoided or get advice from a GP. (Yeh right I laughed as I typed that! Who can get near a GP at the moment!)

If oily fish isn't your thing you could also get a cold pressed flax seed oil and drizzle it over food. I prefered to take a capsul as not keen on the taste of oil other than olive oil on my meals.

You could also apply it to your skin in a carrier oil but do a patch test first.

Also obviously drinking lots of water helped my skin too.

This is just personal experience and I'm not an expert but there's lots of info online about the benefits of EFA and Omega 3/6 and their possible contraindications if you feel well enough to have a look .

Take care.

Thank you.I do take omega 3 oil in a capsule.

I'm nog keen on sardines ect wish I was.

I di have milled nuts and flaxseeds.

Ivd high cholesterol so trying gbtk watch saturated fats.

Cant seen to win.

Eating more liver ect in the hope of raising iron.abd b12!!

Then that made cholesterol high.

Seemingly reducing 'bad fats may have contributed to dry scalp?? I initially thought it was the stress of Christmas cancekked and nog seeing my family. I logically accepted it as only sensible.

It was the inconsistency across the county that got to me . Mind you ivd never had it before.

I will certainly look into thoses oils

Thanks
