I've had an odd symptom that I don't see discussed very much in the B12 deficiency community. There are times when I get very hot ears -- they read 100° F (37.7°C) or more with a laser thermometer. Initially, I would get two hot ears, lately it's been one ear or the other. I don't have a temperature otherwise.
The episodes can last briefly or go on for hours. I often experience it when my fatigue is worse, but it's not always connected. I get no other flushing, just the ears. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It seems unique from everything I've read.

Yes! Had this during the first months of treatment. It eventually subsided but there are many factors - my reduction and eventual stopping of injections, stopping folic acid supplementation, improving diet etc, so hard to pinpoint. Never explained.
chonkytonk, my left ear will flush red and get incredibly hot when I am very stressed or upset, sometimes my nose and chest as well. This started happening about 3.5 years before my PA diagnosis. It's gotten a lot better, but even my knees, elbows, and knuckles would get bright red and flush too. The body parts I mentioned would turn as red as the ear picture you posted. Now I'm wondering if it was part of my increasing b12 deficiency....
I've had this, but mine was related to food allergies and sensitivities. My ears would become uncomfortably hot. I have not had this issue in a long time since figuring out what I shouldn't be eating.
