My recent order B12 from Versandapo arrived today. I was surprised to find its expiry date is June 2022, only 18 months. I was hoping for the normal two years. I nearly ordered more, as who knows what will happen after Brexit, but I'm glad I didn't as it would have been an even greater waste of money.
Have I just been unlucky in getting older stock or is 18 months the norm now?

Hi. I have just had a delivery with an expiry date of May 2022. However it’s still better than getting it on prescription for me as they charge me per injection rather than a box of 5.
Thank you. I always got a box of 5 but they will only administer one ampule now as they say the chemist have short expiry dates. I did speak to the chemist who said they would take back any unused and replace them
GP said the CCG have told them they can only supply one at a time and suggested I buy my own. How kind. X
I think I should write to the CCG and say the surgery are restricting the doses. I got a box of 10 for the cost of one prescription.
I have never been restricted on prescription before until the last couple of injections. The practice nurse wasn’t aware they were doing this either. The stress of it all made me quite unwell. I have my next injection tomorrow.
The GP was quite unsympathetic as to the situation. She didn’t even answer when I said I would just like to be able to get up in the morning and feel like she does without palpitations and muscle cramps!
Yes quite. So little understanding. If anyone had my body fir a few hours they might ' get it'
It's an invisible illness. I get tired of trying to be 'normal'
I would like to also to wake up and feel like my head belongs to me and get some familiarity back. Goodness what I used to take for granted . So your prescription is what toh have to take to the surgery?
My prescription I inject at home . I then have one at the surgery IM 6-8 weekly now.
I do SC at home inbetween.
Tbe ones ag the surgery are just given. So The NHS has the cost of one ampoule and the nurses time.
At home I save the nurses time but pay for the b12 (prescription) and needles ect
I chose to do this . I certainly wasnt going to pat £9.15 for every single one though !!
G.p was good and understood. I wish she understood my symptoms though!!
I managed to get 10 weekly injections administered by the nurse at the GP surgeryI used to get a prescription of 5 which lasted a year.
Now I have to pay per injection.
I haven’t considered SI but am finding with extra stresses 10 weekly isn’t enough. I managed to get to 5 weeks this time and the last 5 have been awful.
I think I seriously need to consider what is appropriate for me x
I am going to look into this. I only managed 5 weeks before the symptoms came back so the following 5 til my injection yesterday were such a struggle. I looked like I should have been in the walking dead!
I feel amazing today though after my jab yesterday. The tiredness has gone and I’ve not had palpitations for 24 hours! Thank you for advice. Much appreciated x
What's even stranger I received a supply of B12 in September 2019 and the expiry date is February 2022. I assumed that an order a year later would have at least another year on the expiry date, and not 4 months later that an order placed 15 months earlier.
