How good are B12 patches?

I am thinking of supplementing my injections with B12 patches.

I was just wondering whether anyone was using the patches and how effective they find them.

If you need injections I woudnt bother with patches.

It is impossible for patches to work. The B12 molecule is too large and too hydrophilic to cross the skin barrier unless you put an electric current across the skin, or the patch is made from a lot of very fine needles.

Thank you both. Sounds like a lot of money is being made out of something that doesn’t work! There’s a lot of patches on line 🤭

Yup. Any that actually claim the B12 is absorbed across the skin get reported to the ASA. Most just rely on people writing reviews of he placebo effect.

I tried the patches during the first lockdown because my surgery wouldn’t give me my injections. Felt no benefit whatsoever , if you need injections I wouldn’t waste your me money!

Thank you for responding! A definite lack of enthusiasm from everyone about patches but not surprising - if they worked people wouldn’t be sticking needles in themselves!
