B12 injections

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help, where I can buy B12 injections. My B12 is low . I have lupus and hashimotos and neuropathic pain. I just moved to where I live and new go is rubbish. Many thanks

Just looking at your B12 results posted on the thyroid forum I see that they were 265 (180-1000) and 2 months later 121 (37.5-187.5). I assume the latter was measuring active B12.

These results aren’t especially low, particularly the active B12 result. In rare circumstances you can have what’s called a functional vitamin B12 deficiency whilst showing normal results; however, this is unusual.

I would be loathe to start injections on the basis of these results alone. Once you start injections it seems that it becomes necessary to keep serum B12 at a high level (above the top of the normal range).

Do you have B12d symptoms?

Hi thanks for getting back to me. I was adviced they were on the low side, but what I have done since posting is ordered a good quality vitamins b supplement. I have quite bad neuropathic pain and hashimotos and read that nerve pain can be caused by low Vit b12.

I have been getting a lot of dizziness and the nerve pain has become increasingly worse. I have lupus and fibromyalgia., so a lot going on.

Try some B12. Even if this isn’t the problem , you can do yourself no harm by taking it . You cannot overdose on it , which is reassuring to know.
