Can I ask does anyone buy this and where do they buy it from? I currently take hydroxocobalamin, I inject daily. My sister has just been diagnosed with PA like me and is looking into taking methylocobalamin.
Has your sister had loading doses and been given an injection regime going forward? Some people do ok on the nhs regime so it’s worth trying that for starters?
From what I’ve read on this forum there’s no advantage or reason to choose methylocobalamin and I certainly wouldn’t be considering paying £40 an injection when I can source hydroxocobalamin for a pound ot two a vial from German pharmacies.
Hi, she getting standard 6 loading doses over 2 weeks then 1 every 2 months. But she really prefers methylocobalamin rather than hydroxocobalamin. I SI every day as I really needed more. I told her hydroxocobalamin from Germany is way forward. But, I thought i would ask for help

There is no point in using methylcobalamin. Hydroxocobalamin is cheaper, easier to obtain and at least as effective as methylcobalamin, possibly more effective. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
Thanks for all your advice and guidance. I originally looked into methylocobalamin but decided to take hydroxocobalamin. I have told my sister that she should take hydroxocobalamin like me, but she wanted to look into both first i think.
