You could buy some magnesium flakes from boots or health food store and just add as directed to a basin if warm water and do foot soaks, that way it bypasses your digestive system and doesent cause any tummy upsets.

Your body just draws what it needs.good luck

I thought this was treated with Quinine?

Have you spoken with your GP about this?

Ever been prescribed Quinine?

I have heard that some people drink Tonic Water, but don't myself as don't like the taste.

I've got a multivit for the over 50's

Aksi up tour potassium rich food. Potatoes ect

I go through waves of quite severe foot cramps and hip and small of back pains then it goes . Si many things to work out still.

Make your own magnesium oil from the flakes, put it on your legs for half a hour before a shower. Keep off magnesium oxide and citrate, I use doctors best supplements.

Are you having B12 injections? I have found that years and years of painful cramps, nothing really worked, but once I had the B12 injections then they have pretty much disappeared! I assumed they were part of my symptoms.

I'd recommend doctors best magnesium glycinate - it's the most absorbable although in excess can produce loose bowels!

I also suffered from severe cramps for years. In the past I was prescribed quinine tablets which helped relieve it. I drink tonic water (make sure it's got quinine in it). I've also taken magnesium, I can't use the soaking method as it dries my skin up and leads to eczema flares.

For some years leading up to my PA diagnosis the cramps got increasingly more frequent and severe. I was afraid to move at night or when I woke in the morning as it would set off cramps. I would get these cramps and shock like pains that would twist parts of my body into contortions, throughout the day and night, it was so painful and debilitating.

Since I've been on regular b12 injections they are back to normal cramps and I can stretch and bend my body without getting these horrible symptoms. Obviously I had been b12 deficient for years, it has been 15 months since my diagnosis.

Are you having b12 injections?
