Hi

I was feeling much better on b12 injections after one and half months but from last three days , I am feeling restless legs, is it because of deficiency in some other vitamin?

For me, iron is a huge factor. I would suggest you get that and other levels tested. Sita

Okay Thank you

Magnesium helps with this. I use magnesium cream. You can also bathe in Epsom salts. It is well absorbed through the skin

Hi,

My RLS improved when I reduced the amount of caffeine I was drinking/eating then a improved a bit more when I started a low dose iron tablet then improved again when I finally started B12 treatment.

I have also read articles that suggest Vitamin D levels can have an impact on RLS.

Have your Vitamin D levels been checked?

Vitamin D is low as well. 18 , in November

What amount of magnesium did you use. I use magnesium daily for constipation and insomnia, but it’s not helping so much lately at 325mg.

The type is important. Mg citrate is good for constipation. Bisglycinate or chelated Mg is most bioavailable. Take on an empty stomach with water at bedtime for best effect.

Okay

I am using magnesium glycinate 500 mg

If you still have RLS, try a higher dose, & make sure to take it at bedtime on an empty stomach with water only. A >20 minute soak in a bath with >500g oh Mg hexahydrate crystals is another nice way to absorb it & relax muscles.

It’s the citrate I’ve been taking. Oxide did very little to help. Do you have details of a reasonable dose to take psawant?

I am taking 500 mg per day of magnesium glycinate

I shall give that a try. Thanks ;)

Low magnesium can cause restless legs, muscle cramps, heart palpitations. Mine was low and I experienced all these symptoms.

Haven't read everything but I have a theory with my restless legs. Vitamin b12 deficiency gave me little feeling in my legs (and my restless legs were not a problem). I could literally press a knife tip and feel nada.

So improvement in vitamin b12 absorption has meant more feeling in my legs = restless legs is back/worse.

Also not sure what your vitamin d numbers were/are but 2000 iu a day is a low amount to get a really low number back up to normal values. I would look into that.

EDIT: found your original number. And read that your restless legs have stopped - wonderful.

[But everyone should know high levels of vitamin d supplementation must be monitored in two-three month intervals. Can cause kidney issues and too much calcium (heart)]
