Hi ive been having b12 injections for almost 20 years now. Every 10 weeks. Was told it will be for the rest of my life. Im worrying myself sick at the moment as have an appointment mid april but will my doctors surgery still do it?with the coronavirus im worried they wont see me at my surgery as it may be classed as non urgent. Is everyone else still getting their injections? If not, what are you doing as i was suicidal before i had them and im scared ill end up back in that state. Please help im hoping im worrying over nothing! Thankyou x

Injections still going ahead?
Hi,
There are several threads on the forum at the moment dealing with this issue of B12 jabs potentially being considered as non urgent.
If you have time, have a look at the forum thread I linked to below.
healthunlocked.com/pasoc/po...
Gambit62 makes some good points about what could be discussed with GP and/or practice manager.
Some forum members who self treat are currently experiencing difficulty getting supplies.
Some people find that high strength oral B12 tablets or sublingual B12 lozenges or oral B12 sprays help a bit.
I am not medically trained.
Thanks will look now x
Hi,
Have a look at this blog post.

It has been updated today to discuss the issue of B12 injections being considered non-urgent in some cases and has some suggestions about what to do if this happens to you.
Are you a PAS member? May be worth joining and talking to them.
Due to virus crisis, I guess PAS office may be closed at some point.

Hopefully your surgery will be the same as mine.
No doctor's appointments are being kept - they are being dealt with by 'phone - but the nursing staff will continue as normal doing dressings, injections etc at appointed times so there won't be lots of people in the waiting room so that distance between patients can be maintained.
I wish you well
Yesterday I made an appointment for mine which is due at the beginning of April.
I telephoned my gp surgery yesterday to ask what would happen as mine is due the first week in April, I was told they aren’t making nurse appointments in advance and I have to phone on the day it is due and make an appointment for that day. I would advise phoning your surgery to ask x
Hi. I have been told it's ok to go to my surgery for my jab today. However I'm on my 5th jab of 6 as I've only been diagnosed with this 2 weeks ago.
Not sure if my reply has been posted so am writing again. Rang surgery and no b12s being done. All nurse appts for next week are cancelled. Im due in april for jab so have to ring start of that week.
Hi jackie212, If there is one thing people don't need right now, it's worrying about one more thing to worry about. I'm not suggesting that we all prepare for the zombie apocalypse, but why not consider taking the bull by the horns and order supplies to start SI? That way, in this time of uncertainty, you will be able to control at least one aspect of your health.
Good luck.
I am across the pond, so to speak, so I am sure someone will come along shortly and let you know the best outlets for European orders. I have my methyl-B12 compounded at a local specialty pharmacy who delivers it to me in pre-filled syringes for SQ injection every month. I keep it in the fridge and in light proof container. But I also keep a bottle or two of Cyano-B12 as a back up stash in case of having an occasional crash. I order the cyano from
biosenseclinic.com in Canada. You can order 10 or 30 ml vials. They also offer syringes and needles. I do not know if they ship to UK. You can call them with any questions. Nice people to deal with, very helpful.
Hello, have you tried to call your primary doctor to confirm they will keep your appointment. I too have been getting injections for 20 years and will for life. My next injection isn’t until May, however I can’t imagine they would deny me knowing I must have it to survive. Try to confirm first before you worry. I know it’s easier said then done as I tend to worry as well 😊
Hi,
Have a look at most recent news item from PAS website. It has info on what to do if B12 jabs stopped.
