I'm having 2 weekly hydrox b12 at my surgery by the nurse given IM.

I want to try SC at home.so what do I need. I've gleaned some info but wanted to check.. I want as similar as I'm havi g as my body used to it now.

Hydroxocobalamin b12 1ml. Is it green needles for drawing up liquid?

27-31G needles 5/8"? For injecting it SC

Any help appreciated. I've decided to try more frequent injections again as trying to move on . The more I try and do I just get I'll again . Feeling stuck .

I use a 1 1/2 “ needle to withdraw . The gauge isn’t so important as B12 is a nice thin water-based injection . I don’t really know about sub-cut , as I I.M. , but 27-31 G and 5/8 sounds great . All the best .

I use one of these too, I think it was only £1.99. After the nurse cut her finger when an ampule broke I didn't want to chance it happening to me as I was already nervous enough and my tremor was still quite bad at the time.
