Blood test results

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. I'm worried about numbness in my arms and pins and needles at night (Sometimes arms can feel heavy / weak all day). I also have recent anxiety (Never had it like this before). Sometimes I can't sleep and other times I'm falling asleep in my feet. The brain fog is awful and is starting to affect my work.

Recent blood work shows that I may be menopausal

FSH - 33.9

Estradiol - 205

I am not sure that this explains all my symptoms, so I requested additional tests.

Thyroid and full blood count all fine.

My B12 is 589

Ferritin - 45.3

Folate is 3.4

Doctor says that the Folate is low side of normal and to repeat in 3 weeks.

Should I be content with this?

Could the menopause cause all of my symptoms?

The thought of waiting 3 further weeks whilst feeling so low is a nightmare for me atm.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Have you been diagnosed with a B12 deficiency? Are you taking B12 supplements? If so, what type (oral, injections)?

For marginally low folate, normal supermarket folic acid (200 to 400 mcg a day) should fix it.

Hi, No - I haven't been diagnosed as B12 deficient. The only medication I take is a PPI.
