Hi All, long time reader, first time posting a health related issue.
I’ve been suffering dizzy spells since the end of January and I’ve been diagnosed with with Vertigo and I’m late 20’s . I’m just wondering would a deficiency in Vitamin B12 be something to look at? As I’m not allowed to go to work as I’m a danger to my work colleagues .
How do I keep “Vertigo” away for good? Will I get Vitamins B12 tablets? and What has happened my hearing as apparently this is the most relevant problem that is wrong with me that is causing me to have Vertigo.

It depends on the cause of your vertigo, but it sounds as if B12 will not have anything to do with it. Yours sounds more like vertigo (where the world starts spinning around you) rather than the dizziness that is common with a B12 deficiency.
Vertigo has many possible causes. If your hearing is affected it could well be Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo (BPPV). This is normally temporary and can be treated by certain head exercises. As it happens a friend of mine had BPPV a few weeks ago, just as I was researching another area of B12 and found that the two are unrelated -
My daughter suffers dizziness & sickness with B12 deficiency and Dr gives her Stemitil. I on the other hand am not deficient and suffered with attacks of virtigo and migraines for 20 yrs and take Stemitil
Have you had your b12 level and folate tested ? I would. One of my grown up daughters wasnt tested. B12 deficiency went undiagnosed for too long. Given wrong labels ect. Eventually gaining her POTs . Only when in hospital b1 2 was tested . Severely low as was folate with megobalastic anemia . All missed . She was deemed too young .
I've still got a vestibular disturbance the neurologist said. No quick fix were his words .
Vestibular cawthorne exercises are good. I do the eye ones in bed . Told by pysio I saw with the virtigo at the start in 2018 and wrote out the exercises
You can find them online.
Also go for a walk with single vision glasses (rather than varififocals) told to look around sky trees whilst walking.
Not fallen over yet ! I must look s though I'm looking for something lol
