there are lots of things that will cause vertigo - eg an inner ear infection.

suggest you see a doctor.

sorry, I don't have any idea how long it will take for the vertigo to go. You could ask the pharmacist who dispensed the tablets.

Hi Rajender, I don’t know about B12 deficiency and vertigo but the symptoms you describe could be a vertigenous migraine especially if you also feel sick with it. How long do the symptoms last? I have suffered from this rare form of migraine for the last 27 years though in the latter years the episodes have become less frequent. The only thing I can do is sleep it off and this can last for 3 to 5 days.

I would suggest you see your GP with a potential referral to a neurologist/ENT consultant.

Good luck

If you can’t find a cause and have been taking B12 for a long time as a last resort u can take tablets for Vertigo.

(After eliminating every possible cause for Vertigo)

one of my worst symptoms was vertigo before the PA was diagnosed. it would stop me from working as i could not get out of bed etc. once i had the loading jabs and the regular injections i have been free of any dizzy symptoms for 6 years. i had many other symptoms also but 100%certain my vertigo was due to the PA.

Hi Laura, I have a very low level of B12 - 130 when it was diagnosed a few weeks ago. Getting 5 injections (had 4 so far) but no improvement. My main symptom is vertigo and dizziness/off balance. I've had it for a year now and nothing has helped me so far....can you recommend anything? Thanks

be positive and please use b12 supplements and antiverts which reduces the vertigo and please get your haemoglobin checked if it is normal than high please consult a haematologist for further evolution.may be it cause the vertigo and dizziness.i have high haemoglobin than normal which made me worse more than 4 months iam now vertigo free and still using antivertigo medication and stopped b12 supplements after using 3 months iam good with b12 now.

Hope you will be fine soon.wish you good luck.

Hi, I used Arlevert for a few months and gained 2 stone in weight (never gained that much even when pregnant). It didn't help me at all. Also tried Betahistine, again it didn't help me. I will try the B12 supplements. Thank you.

Alaways Welcome

Could you have menieres disease? I have this as well as PA, truly horrendous disease. Vertigo, tinnitus and fluctuating hearing loss, flare ups come and go and it cannot be seen on scans. Also my iron and ferritin levels are also very low rather than high (dropped to iron 3 ferritin 1 necessitating urgent iron infusion). I ended up stuck in bed for 10 months due to the severe vertigo and developed a blood clot due to undiagnosed may thurners.

I don't have hearing loss and tinnitus. my doctor said it's about my haemoglobin is high 17.5 and Iam using ecosprin.vertigo went off but heaviness in head still there.
