It might be a lot easier to get cyanocobalamin, rather than methylcobalamin. Which is no problem as it should be just as, if not more, effective. It's also a lot more stable. Ordering methylcobalamin from foreign parts means it's likely to go off during shipping, especially from, or to, somewhere warm.
Hi, I'm also a yank. I'm not positive about this, but I think you can go to any doc-in-a-box location (Patient First, etc.) and get a B12 shot. I don't think you need a prescription.
if you are being given B12 for medical reasons in the US you will require a prescription. However, injections not supplied for medical reasons (eg 'beauty'/'slimming') aren't covered by the need for prescription.
Roowie is there a specific reason why you don't want to use cyanocobalamin. Although there is a lot of hype about the alleged risks from the cyano element the reality is only a rare number of people who have a specific genetic susceptibility (leber's syndrome) who are at risk ...
