sorry for the long absence, it dawned on me I should post my story in case someone else benefits.
I was finally diagnosed after 2 1/2 years. although I did have b12 deficiency I did not notice huge improvements with injections. I kept up with supplementation but the only thing that helped was an initial immunoglobulin injection. finally I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in April. it will be a long road to recovery but at least I can start treatment. My major symptom has been neurological pins and needles, numbness, nerve pain etc.. never a bull eyes rash ever. have yourself check out. you never know.

Although I’ve never read any medical research to support this, there seems to be anecdotal evidence for a correlation between Lyme Disease and B12 deficiency. I, as well as a couple of others I know of, had Lyme Disease a couple of years before being diagnosed with low B12.
I wish you all the best with your recovery. I remember how ill I felt with Lyme Disease.
Very best of luck with recovery- I have heard that there are similarities in the 2 conditions and that not everyone gets any obvious signs with Lyme Disease.
Wonder how many others, like Ajane , have had Lyme disease followed by B12 deficiency ?
Perhaps like SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) there is a vitamin-stealing element to it ? Interesting.
