I’m on weekly cyano injections and inject 0.5 ml on Monday mornings (about 5 am) and the remainder of Thursdays. I get the headache on Monday till about 2 pm.

I think the severity of the headache is proportional to my level of activity on the weekends and how deficient I’ve become.

I also supplement with methyl sublinguals daily except Monday as the extra B12 makes the headache worse.

I have come to recognize that the headache is an indication that my neurological damage is being repaired. The brain is getting stronger signals and takes a while to turn the volume control down. From that point of view, the headache is an illusion.

By recognizing that the headache is “good” I no longer stress out and worry about it which lets the brain adjust faster.

I used to call this the roller coaster ride but by getting frequent enough injections this has smoothed out.

I’ve had episodes where it feels too severe or it lasts the whole day, and taking a pain reliever helps take the edge off.

Do you take folic acid and a daily multivitamin to support the B12?

Do you keep a detailed logbook of all your symptoms? If your headache repeats the same way after each injection, I suspect you are having similar nerve repair symptoms.

I too get headaches, and have gotten random flushing. I’m not sure that I would be able to give you more information though as this is still new to me as well. I hope you feel more relief soon.

I was getting headaches after my b12 shots. They appeared as I was driving away from my doctor's office. The only headaches I was used to getting were sinus headaches which centered around my sinuses. These headaches felt like a vise was being tightened across the top of my head. Fortunately they only lasted for one day. I also had facial flushing, to the point that my face was sweating. Aside from being embarrassing, the flushing didn't affect me too badly. I have very sensitive skin and am prone to facial redness anyway so I'm used to it. I am very glad to say that those symptoms have, for the most part, stopped. This summer has been very hot and my facial flushing is just normal heat induced flushing and I rarely have even a little bit of a headache after my shots now. I did find that taking an antihistamine seemed to calm down some of the post shot symptoms.

Yes I've had headaches that are different to the other nasty ones afyer injections usually lady 24 hours. . Recently not every injection but only the odd one without. I aksi have flushes even when sitting quite still. And sweathe on my head. Very unusual for me and part of this defiency. Different from hot flashes I used to have with menopause. My whole body reacts differently and is unreliable and alien to me at present. I do feel a bit stronger after 2 weeks on ferrous fumarate 210 mg prescribed higher but couldn't tolerate. Ferritin levels maintained at 29 but leveks not raising

What did help my headaches was taking vitamin d in a higher dose for a while and the level went uo to 73. Hope your symptoms settle. Headaches are awful . As are migrains ect. I wish you well
