Active b12 test

Does anyone know how long after a B12 injection this test is accurate?

I had a serum b12 blood test in October 2018 and have been on injections since.

it depends on what you want to measure - the accuracy of the test isn't affected by an injection but it's likely to be a pretty meaningless test if you have had injections unless you have waited at least 6 months since the last injections - possibly even longer for some as the result will be picking up the effects of the B12 from the injection.

Okay I will save my money then.

The nurse thought it a good idea to get a baseline. I didn't think it made sense.

Right I will carry on going by symptoms. Seem to be stuck at 2 weekly at present. Loathed to change anything as 'crawling 'in the right direction. Tried a few weekly but no difference .
