Symptoms worsen around period.

I'm 4 months into taking 5mg of sublingual b12 per day ( my Dr refuses to believe I am deficient so injections are out of the question) and on the whole my symptoms have improved dramatically. However I find just before and at the beginning of my period my balance is poor, I get neck pain and I feel so lethargic. Is this common? Will this get better with time or do I have to adapt my life to cope with it now. Also, will the contraceptive pill be of any use?

Thanks in advance 😊

First, I'm not a doctor. But having balance problems myself, I'd be very alert to them. There are many ototoxic drugs out there (google for it) including some common anti-depressants, that can do considerable and unintended damage the prescribing doc might not be familiar with. Read the fine print of your medications, and search sites such as this for possible side effects. For me, methyl folate helped my fatigue even more than B12 but if you should try it, be *very* careful to work into it gradually -- see my reply to Reemfali above. And speak with your doctor.
