I am going to Canada for a holiday. I give myself B12 injections regularly, purchased from Germany but not with my GP's knowledge. Seem to need a doctor's letter to bring them into the country. Any advice on this please?

Injectable B12 is available over the counter in Canada - it's cyanocobalamin rather than hydroxocobalamin - the only contraindication for cyano is leber's syndrome - a rare genetic condition that affects males more than females. You may need cyanocobalamin more frequently than hydroxocobalamin so would be a case of listening to your symptoms
Hi 226lowlane. I went to Canada on holiday last year and also self inject with hydroxocobalamin bought from Germany. I don't have consent from my GP, so no Dr's note either. I packed all my ampoules and needles/syringes in my check in luggage and and no problems getting them in or out of Canada. Once in Canada, I found that a lot of the public toilets had sharps boxes for you to dispose of your needles safely. Hope this helps.
